What is holding you back? Shame is something everyone experiences. It’s a part of what it means to be human and influences us on how we show up (Brown, 2007).
Most of us don’t want to talk about it and avoid it at all costs which leads us to being stuck and uncomfortable. This class will use storytelling, metaphors, experiential and the creative process to help you identify what is holding you back and how to develop the skill set needed to live a more connected and courageous life. You will be guided to identify your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors which are holding you back and create a new pathway to living toward your more authentic self to achieve wholehearted living.
Do you sometimes find that anxiety, self-judgment, criticism, and self-doubt show up in your life more than you are comfortable with?
Is uncertainty getting the better of you? Do you question if you are good enough, smart enough, or productive enough?
Do you worry about what other people think and say yes when you should be saying no so you can avoid a conflict?
Does perfectionism sometimes ruin your life?
“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky as giving up on love and belonging and joy – the experience that makes us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
